Is it normal to feel unsure before joining new online communities?
I’ve been thinking a lot about how people join new online platforms and how different everyone’s experience can be at the start. Personally, I always feel a bit unsure before signing up anywhere because I don’t know what kind of people I’ll find or how active the place really is. I recently noticed gayteam while browsing and it made me curious about how people actually start there. Do you just jump into conversations or stay quiet and observe first? I usually take time before talking because I like to understand the environment. Sometimes communities feel welcoming, but other times they feel a bit confusing in the beginning. I’d like to know from real users how they felt during their first few days and whether it became easier over time or stayed the same.
